“Everyone at WEI is incredibly happy for Jennifer,” said Belisario Rosas, Founder and President of WEI. “During her three years at WEI, Jennifer has worked to carefully craft marketing programs that closely align our sales, partner, and customer engagement visions so we can be truly integrated in our approach. About Jennifer Burl

Jennifer is a channel marketing and product management visionary with more than 25 years of experience working both in and for the channel. At WEI she drives strategies for marketing engagement and activation, customer advocacy marketing, and community and social responsibility outreach. One such initiative she has played a large role in is WEI’s corporate responsibility and sustainability program, WEI StepsUp.

Prior to joining WEI three years ago, Jennifer was Sr. Product Marketing Manager at PC Connection, where she managed a team that was responsible for all HP EG product strategy, sales motions, field engagement, and go-to-market planning. Jennifer has also worked for Epson, managing professional storage products where she trained, engaged, and activated channel partners. In addition, she was a Senior Product Solutions Manager for Iron Mountain and has held product management and channel engagement positions at Iomega, where she is credited with developing the company’s hard drive line. She also worked at Canon, where she managed all product management and go-to-market efforts for the Inkjet and laser printer line.

Working At WEI

At WEI, Jennifer has created a process that strategically aligns sales and marketing “at the hip” so that we are working together to go deeper and wider with current customers as well as engaging new ones.

Jennifer stated:

As WEI has grown, so has our number of partners and programs. Today we execute integrated campaigns for more than 10 partners, consistently working to align partner program components with the specific needs and requirements of our customers. This is done with a close strategic view into our market, in close alignment with sales and partners, to achieve the engaging campaigns that our prospects embrace and act on. As a result, we have realized a 33 percent growth in new customer acquisitions over that timeframe.

Wearing my social responsibility hat, I implemented many initiatives and programs that significantly contributed to WEI receiving second place in Business NH Magazines “Best Companies to Work.”

What’s Next?

When it comes to innovation and customer care, Jennifer never rests. “While it’s always important to drive net new customers and grow brand awareness, what is most imperative is customer advocacy. My top goal is to transform our loyal customer based into advocates and evangelists. This is how you can build the stronger relationships that transcend products and technology. To achieve this, we are focused at connecting with customers and prospects at the community level, not just to sell them product, but to walk hand in hand with them to partner in delivering the solutions that make a difference in their lives,” she said.

WEI StepsUP annual food driveAt WEI, we’re always looking for ways we can step up and can give back to our local communities, from gathering clothes for those in need to volunteering at a soup kitchen. One recent initiative to serve our community has been to host a food drive in partnership with a local non-profit, . Earlier this month we wrapped up our annual drive for them, and the results were astounding, a testament to the generosity of the wonderful group of people working at WEI!

Before we dive into the results of our food drive, it’s important to understand why WEI StepsUP chooses to support End 68 Hours of Hunger and what they do.

What is Food Insecurity?

As reported by , “More than 13 million children in the United States live in “food insecure” homes, according to from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). That means those families don’t regularly have enough food to eat, the most basic of all human needs.” In New Hampshire alone, nearly 13 percent of children live with food insecurity.

Established in 2011, was created to provide children suffering from food insecurity the meals they need for the hours they are not in school. Those in this program depend on their school meals Monday through Friday and often go hungry over the weekends when school is not in session, approximately 68 hours. End 68 Hours of Hunger’s founder, Claire Bloom, states:

“Childhood hunger – or food insecurity – is a national problem. It occurs when children receive insufficient food on a regular basis and in many cases, missing meals entirely. After a while, these children also experience “fear of hunger” that affects their behavior as much as physical hunger affects their bodies.”

WEI does this food drive each year to ensure the 85 food insecure children from 37 families from across the Salem, NH School District (preschool through 12th grade) have enough healthy snacks and meals to get through their school vacation week in April, and beyond. Our efforts are able to make a significant impact on our local children who need it the most.

End 68 Hours of Hunger (Salem, NH) Food Drive Results

We wrapped up our annual End 68 Hours of Hunger food drive earlier this month and were blown away to see we tallied more than 43,000 items donated! That’s more than 10x the amount we collected last year!

  • In 2017, we were able to collect 4,000 items and 43 boxes of food
  • In 2018, we collected 43,351 items and 99 boxes of food
End 68 Hours of Hunger in Salem, NH

WEI’s donations alone completely filled the organization’s warehouse at Salem High School. It’s an incredible feat and will surely make for many appreciative children and grateful families. Not only were we able to provide the 37 families within the school district with food for the April spring school vacation week, but our donations are going to help beyond that break. The non-profit fills backpacks for families every Friday of the school year to send kids home with food, which our donations from this food drive will easily be able to fulfill.

A Healthy Competition Goes a Long Way…

How were we able to collect so many items? Well, a little healthy competition helped the cause. For this year’s food drive we split up the company into teams, with people representing each department. This was a great way to ensure our employees were able to work together with those they may not see and work with every day. The incentive for the team that collected the most amount of items: a full breakfast spread cooked by our COO and VP of Sales. The motivation to help children in our community coupled with this factor pushed the teams to gather the astounding number of items. The team who collected the most donated a total 7,000 items!

WEI is more than an IT consulting company. We care about our community and are always looking for ways we can help make our neighborhoods, and the world, a better place. This year’s food drive was one for the books and we’re proud of our employees for making such a huge impact in our local area. Click the button below to learn more about more WEI initiatives!

Team members also dedicate company-sponsored time to building homes for Habitat for Humanity, mentoring at local schools, serving food at Lazarus House, and organizing food and clothing drives through our WEI StepsUp program.

Fostering Communication, Diversity and Inclusion

Our Founder and President, Belisario Rosas, puts it best when he says, “We strive to create a company culture that not only helps our customers succeed, but our employees and our greater community, as well.
